Ninth Circuit Says States, Counties Can Sue VW in Dieselgate Cases
“This opinion reaffirms the rights of state and local authorities, such as Harris County, to enforce penalties for post-sale tampering with automobile emission control devices and to proceed against Volkswagen for its unlawful conduct,” said nationally prominent Houston attorney Richard Mithoff. 2-year-old girl hit by foul ball at Astros game suffered skull fracture, attorney says
The 2-year-old girl who was hit by a foul ball at a Houston Astros game in May suffered a fractured skull and had a seizure, a news release about the incident and child’s medical condition stated Wednesday. The girl also suffered associated subdural bleeding, brain contusions and brain edema. The family has hired attorney Richard Mithoff to assist them.
